Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Wanawun app and website ("Wanawun", "the Service"), operated by Iman Syed ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/UK) to use Wanawun. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with parental or guardian consent.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it up to date.
- One person, one account. You may not share or transfer your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to access another user's account or any non-public area of the Service.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where allowed by applicable law.
- Upload audio or text that is illegal, harassing, hateful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.
- Use automated systems to flood or scrape the Service.
4. User content
You retain ownership of any audio recordings, profile content, or other material you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Our content
Lesson text, audio, illustrations, and other materials provided by us or licensed from third parties are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use them for personal, non-commercial learning. Some content is sourced from publicly available Kashmiri language references; rights remain with their respective authors and rightsholders.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Wanawun is currently free to use during private beta. If we introduce paid features in the future, applicable pricing and billing terms will be presented before purchase, and these Terms will be updated accordingly.
7. Beta software
The Service is currently in private beta. It may contain bugs, change without notice, lose data, or be unavailable. Features may be added or removed at any time.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to other users or to us. On termination we will delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee linguistic accuracy, completeness, or that the Service will meet your specific learning goals.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50.
11. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify the Service and these Terms over time. Material changes to the Terms will be announced on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer protection law gives you additional rights.
